Seymour Daily Tribune - 5/11/2006 Amy Juanita Day Jan. 17, 1929 – May 10, 2006 Amy Juanita Day, 77, Seymour, died at 2:17 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Day was a member of Church of Christ, Freetown, and attended Old Regular Baptist Church, Freetown. She was a homemaker. Born Jan. 17, 1929, in Sneedville, Tenn., she was a daughter of Grant Hurley and Fannie Mae Nichols Hurley, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 1, 1953, she married Glenn T. Day, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Rachel Day, Spraytown; two brothers, Coy Hurley, Bedford, and Homer Hurley, Columbus; a sister, Della Campbell, Brownstown; six grandchildren, Amy S. Day, Crystal M. Grapevine, Matthew S. Day, Joseph L. Day, Brandon L. Day and Mark T. Grapevine; and four great-grandchildren, Johnathan Murdock, Terry Day, Michael Day and Rumanda Day. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Hurley, Grant Hurley Jr. and Paul Hurley; a sister, Retha Wheeler; and a daughter, Misty Jane Day. Brother Eugene Day will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Regular Baptist Church, Freetown. Burial will take place at Old Regular Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
