Seymour Tribune October 2008 Karen K. Carmichael 1954 - 2008 Karen K. Carmichael, 53, Clearspring, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Karen was employed at Dicksons for several years. She was a member of Midway Apostolic Church at Medora, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. Her baking skills were enjoyed by all. She was a loving sister. Born Nov. 19, 1954, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Lillie M. Neal Carmichael, who survives at Clearspring, and Harry Carmichael, who preceded her in death. Other survivors include a companion, Roger Sullivan; brothers, Harvey and John Carmichael and William (Connie) Carmichael; and sisters, Alberta Horton and Mary (Ray) Dyas. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley M. and Roberta Lee Carmichael; grandparents, John and Amanda Carmichael and George and Grace Neal; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Pastors Cecil Bowling and James Carmichael will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Midway Apostolic Church, located 7 miles west of Brownstown on U.S. 50 at the Medora Junction. Burial will take place at Houston Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
