Seymour Daily Tribune Robert G. Bottorff November 6, 2006 Robert G. Bottorff, 78, Mattoon, Ill., formerly of Seymour, Indiana, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill. Mr. Bottorff was a loving father, who had a passion for cooking and good food, and enjoyed traveling. He was a banker and also owned and operated his own Dairy Queen. Born on July 11, 1928, he was the son of Gerald 'Gebe' and Clarice Otto Bottorff, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Amy England, who preceded him in death in 1972. Survivors include two sons, Curt Bottorff, Mattoon, and Jon Bottorff, Evanston, Ill.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Steven Bottorff, Seymour, Richard Bottorff, Indianapolis, and David Bottorff, Columbus; and also several nieces and nephews. The Rev. John Connant will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
