The Tribune Tuesday, January 13, 1970 Page 6 Former B'town Woman Expires Mrs. Naomi Blankenship, 86, 1700 West Memorial Drive, Muncie, a former resident of Brownstown, died at 8:55 p.m. Sunday at the Riverview Nursing Home, Muncie. She had been in ill health for two years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Wiklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home with the Rev. Staten Lightfoot, pastor of the Brownstwon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funteral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. until time of service Wednesday. A resident of this couty for most of her life, Mrs. Blankenship was a member of the Baptist Church. She moved to Muncie 12 years ago. Born June 19, 1893, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Fremont and Mane Elliott Hunt. On August 5, 1916, in Jackson County, she married Evan "Pete" Blankenshiip who died in 1954. Surviving are one stepson, Ray Jarvis, of Muncie, one foster daughter, Mrs. Geraldine George, of Seymour; one brother, Ora Hunt, of Seymour; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Michael, of Muncie; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
