Seymour Tribune 2/2/2008 Sharon K. (Stafford) Allman 1946 - 2008 Sharon K. Allman, 62, Seymour, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family and faithful caregivers Gayle Skaggs, Roger Stafford and Mary Boles. Sharon was an active member and first lady of Seymour Christ Temple, where she fulfilled many roles, including Sunday school teacher, music director, organist, secretary and director of the Ladies of the Temple. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Born Jan. 9, 1946, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Samuel T. and Ruth Grantham Stafford. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Seymour. On March 5, 1965 in Seymour, she married the Rev. Dennis W. Allman, who also survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Shanon Denise Allman; a son, Dennis W. (Michelle) Allman II; two grandchildren, Denelle Kay Allman and Chase Samuel Allman; a sister, Carolyn Sue (Don) Stouder; and a brother, Roger D. (Nancy) Stafford. She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Carol Coryea. The Rev. Crawford Coon from Jena, La., will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Seymour Christ Temple. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss Dove release. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Voss Funeral Service, Seymour. Memorials may be given to Seymour Christ Temple.
