FREETOWN BOY DIES IN FRANCE OF PNEUMONIA

Pvt. Clarence Lockhart Expired Dec. 5-Was With The 52nd Infantry.

SON OF MRS. ANNA SHARR

Mrs. Anna Sharr, of near Freetown, has received word that her son, Clarence Lockhart, had died of pneumonia in France December 5th.

Deceased was sent from this county by Local Board the fourth of May to Ft. Thomas, Ky. He went overseas the first week in July, where he has been serving as a private in Company E, Fifty-second Infantry.

He was born near Freetown February 25, 1894 and would have been 25 years of age this coming month. Besides his mother he is survived by one brother, Virgil, now Company E, Fifty-second Infantry, and one sister, Nora Lockhart, of Crothersville.

Although he and his brother were aware of each others presence in France they were stationed so far apart that they did not get to meet.
