SEYMOUR MAN IS LISTED PRISONER

Roy Davis, Not Inducted Through Local Board, Named

The name of Roy Davis, listed by the War Department as being from Seymour, appeared today in an Associated Press announcement by the War Department of Indiana soldiers held prisoner by the Japanese.

Julius G. Harlow, clerk of the Jackson county selective service board, stated that the name did not appear on the roster of men inducted through the local board. He advanced the possibility that Mr. Davis might have been inducted through another board, although listing Seymour as his residence. Frequently this occurs, particualry in the case of inductees who have been employed in a city other than that in which they reside, and who are registered with the board of the city in which they are employed.

His name is not listed in the city directory.
