Williams:In the 1850 census, Calvin was living in Tiffin Twp, Seneca, OH. living with a Physician and his family.In the 1860 census in Mooney, Owen Twp, Jackson, Ind., Calvin (b 1832, age 28) living with wife Decey (b.1836, age 24), son William Williams (b.1856, age 4), and John 7 months old.Living in Tampico, Grassy Fork Twp, Jackson Co., Ind is a Williams J. Williams (b. 1812) and his wife,Elizabeth (b. 1812) who were both born in England.
They have children:

Living in Owen, Jackson, IN in the 1880 census. Dicey’s parents birth place not listed. Living next door toCalvin was his son, William (b.1856 IN). William was living with wife Sarah and daughter, Dicey. The Williams lived next to David Kyte, 58 yrs whose parents were born in Ohio. Calvin had a sister born 1837 in OHIO, SophiaWilliams. Henry Williams is related and the right age to be a brother of Calvin. Both Calvin and his brother havelost at least two children and their wife to the Typhoid Fever. [Died of Typhoid: Dicey Shortridge Williams,Lewis E., Calvin B., Jr., Elizabeth ? Williams, William A. (son of Henry). Unknown child of Henry.]
In the 1900 census, Calvin B. Williams is 68 years old and living with his son John M. in Owen Twp, JacksonCo., Ind. His birth is listed as Oct. 1831 and he is listed as divorced. There is a marriage for a Calvin B. Williamsin the late 1880’s but I didn’t write it down. I’ll go back and look for it. He lists his father as born in England andhis mother in Ohio.

1837: Sophia Williams was born in OHIO.
1839: James Williams was born in OHIO.
1842: Henry Williams was born in Ohio.
1850: Calvin Williams has not yet come to Jackson Co., but Dicey is living there and 15 yrs with her mother.
Calvin Williams living in Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH as a farm laborer, 18 yrs old living with a physician and family.
1854: Calvin (22 yrs) and Dicey (19 yrs) were married in Jackson Co, IN
1870: Jackson County census has C.B.Williams, aged 38 b. OH. Farmer. Wife: Dicy 35, W.A. 15, J.M. 11, G.B.6, C.B., 3, L.S. 1. Next door is Henry Williams 27 born OH, he can’t read and write. Wife Elizabeth 28 can read,but can’t write. It says they were married March 1870.
1880: James Williams (b. 1839 in Seneca Co., OH son of Thomas and Rebecca Williams) and wife, MargaretWilliams (b. 1843) are living Taylor Township, Greene Co., IN. (James: Father born in ENG and Mother born inOH)
1882: “Calvin B. Williams – Brownstown News. We are pained to learn that affliction has fallen heavily upon thefamily of Calvin B. Williams, of Owen Twp during the past month through sickness and death. On the 12th ofMarch his little son, Lewis E. fell victim to Typhoid Fever and pneumonia and just one week later – on the 19th –the dread death messenger again entered his household and bore away his son Calvin B., whose disease was thesame. The former was nearly 6 yrs of age and the latter past 15. Just one week after the death of Calvin B.,Elizabeth, wife of Henry Williams, died of the same disease, and thus on three Mondays in succession there was afuneral in the family. Ath this time Calvin B. Williams wife and another son are confined to bed with the samedisease. (Fri. April 7 )“
1882: “Rebecca Callahan [Shortridge] – wife of Thomas, aged 43 yrs. died at her residence near Houston. Herdisease is said to have been spinal trouble, coupled with typhoid fever. She was a sister of Calvin B. Williams’swife, who died last winter.“ (Thurs, Aug 17, 1882)
1882: Rev. R.J. Gorbett and wife went to the Clear Spring neighborhood today, where he will preach the funeralof Mrs. C.B. Williams and 2 children on Sun morning. In the afternoon the funeral of Mrs. Henry Williams andher children all of whom died only a few months ago. (Fri. Sept 22)

Margaret (AULT) WILLIAMS was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, February 20, 1843, and departed this lifeJuly 22, 1922, being at the time of her death, seventy-nine years, five months and two days of age.She was the daughter of John and Fidelia AULT. She was one of eleven children. All have preceded her except three–Ezra AULT, Martha HILL and Elizabeth MCCORMICK, all of Missouri, and Vernie EMERY and SarahWILLIAMS, of Bedford.
She was married to James WILLIAMS on July 25, 1861. To this union five children were born–four daughters and one son. All the children survive, and are Noah WILLIAMS and Mrs. Mary GROVE, of Koleen; Mrs. EllaHASLER, of Newberry; Mrs. Leonard EDINGTON, of Lyons, and Mrs. Sadie GEDDES, of Doans.
Her husband preceded her in death twenty-two years ago last January.
She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren.
She and her husband spent their married life in Taylor Township. Mrs. Williams was a woman who devoted herlife to the welfare of her children. She was a loving mother, a devoted wife and one who will be sadly missed by all.
She united with the Baptist church in her girlhood days, and continued to live a faithful Christian life until her death.
The funeral services were held at the New Hope Baptist church at Koleen, Rev. Quince FERGUSON, officiating.Interment in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
We wish to thank all who kindly and willingly assisted us in the sickness and after the death of our dear mother;also wish to thank Dr. CRAVENS for his untiring efforts.
