Cordray(Cordrey) Mystery

*(Photos below)

Ethel Catherine Cordray b. 1897/1898 in Ninevah Twp Bartholomew Co. She was born to Frank B. Cordray (b abt. 1872) and Sarah Nevill (b 1876). Ethel recorded her birth date as March 25, 1898, but the only record found for a child born to Sarah and Frank was a female, (2nd child) b. Oct 29 1897. I believe this is my grandmother Ethel.

Family history says she had at least one sister Daisy and a brother Homer. Both reportedly younger but I haven't confirmed this. I believe all the children were raised by different families. Her brother Homer was blinded in a farm accident where he was living.

One of my biggest problems is that there are several Frank Cordray's and more than one Homer (Omer) and Ethel. I have found a marriage application for Frank and Sarah but not a marriage record so it is possible that they were not married.

Sarah was ill and family says her father left with another woman. I believe this is Frank Cordray who married Pearl Sawyer and moved to Indianapolis. Ethel's children say she and her siblings were raised in or around Jackson Co. There were three places that were important to my grandmother, they were Seymour, North Vernon and Washington.

I'm sharing these photos to see if anyone can identify the other people in them. One photo of Ethel was taken at Clifty Falls with "Allie." This is the only person named in the photos.

Any help in finding the families where they were raised might help me fill in the blanks. How many children did Frank and Sarah have and who Frank's parents were? Did they live with family?
