FALL CREEK TOWNSHIP

1874

Fall Creek Township is located in the northwest corner of Henry county, and bounded on the north by Delaware county, on the east by Jefferson township, on the south by Harrison township, and on the west by Madison county, and contains thirty square miles, and is watered by Fall Creek, Deer Creek, and their tributaries. The surface of the township is generally rolling, the soil rich and productive ; timber, building material, gravel, and stock water, as good as can be found in the county.

Honey Creek, Mechanicsburg, and Middletown, are three very enterprising towns of this township.

The present population of this township is very near 2400.

The value of real and personal property is over ;$ 1,000,000.

Some of the first settlers of the township were Abraham Thomas, David Keesling, Wm. Stewart, Joseph Franklin, John Hart, John Keesling, Jacob Keesling, George Keesling, and Adam E. Conn.
