According to the "72-Year Rule," the National Archives releases census records to the general public 72 years after Census Day. As a result, the 1950 census records should be released in April 2022.
There are several types of census schedules that we can use to search for our ancestors. The Population Schedule is used more often than the others because it gives us specific information about members of a family. The 1850 to 1940 census lists all members of the household on the population schedule.
