William S. Tudor

OBIT: Marion, Grant County, Indiana Newspaper, Dec. 9, 1910

WILLIAM S. TUDOR, the son of Stephen and Rachel Tudor, was born in
Fayette County, Ohio, March 20, 1840, and departed this life December 9,
1910, aged Seventy years, Eight months and Ninteen days. He was twice
enlisted during the Civil War, and served eighteen months as a private
in Company A., Forty-eighth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and
eighteen months as a Corporal in Company A., First Regiment Ohio
Volunteer Calvary. He came to Indiana when a young man, and resided in
Grant county since about 1870. In December, 1865, he was married to
Margaret Pierce, who died in May 1874. To this union were born four
children, Marie Tudor Spayde of Upland, Allen C. Tudor of Grant County,
Charles A. Tudor of Iowa, and Alonzo Tudor of Matthews. In June, 1880,
he was married to Lydia Ida Sheron. To this union were born two
children, Grace Tudor Hall and Jesse B. Tudor, both of Marion. He was
affiliated with the First Methodist Protestant Church of Marion, Indiana
in 1892. He leaves to mourn their loss, six children, six
grand-children, one brother, and one sister, besides a number of
relatives and friends.
