(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Landon Kell, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Caroline Dickmeyer who on the 17th day of December 1883, executed a deed of conveyance to Emil Sasse for 63 acres in Sec.15 Town 3 south, Range 10 west, in Gibson County Indiana, being her part of the estate of her deceased husband Henry W. Dickmeyer, and he positively knows that at the time of executing said deed of conveyance, the said Caroline Dickmeyer was a widow. Signed Landon Kell Subscribed and sworn to before me on this 14th day Of January 1927 signed Charles W. Benton, Notary Public.

Caroline Dickmeyer intermarried with Emil Sasse, December 18, 1893 per Marriage record No.4 page 420.
