(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Harlan L. Kays, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Letitia Stone, who in life and at the time of his death was the owner of Lot number 1, in block number 8 in the Western Enlargement to the Town of Oakland, now Oakland City in Gibson County, Indiana, and he positively knows that the said Letitia Stone departed this life, in testate, on or about the 9th day of April, 1915, leaving her surviving as her heirs and only heirs at law her husband Roswell J. Stone and her only child Oliver M. Stone. Affiant further says that said Roswell J. Stone departed this life, in testate, on or about the 12th day of April, 1919 leaving him surviving as his heirs and only heirs at law his widow Anna Stone and son Oliver M. Stone. Signed Harlan L.
