(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Alfred M. Johnson, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Abram C. Pollard, who in life and at the time of his death was the owner, of  various tracts of land in Gibson County, Indiana including a part of NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 Section 15, Town 3 south, Range 12 west...and he knows that the said Abram C. Pollard departed this life, in testate, on or about the 3rd day of Jan., 1918, leaving him surviving no widow, but left him surviving as his heirs and only heirs at law his four children, Harry O. Pollard, Effie B. Crawford the wife of William M. Crawford, Arthur F. Pollard, Caroline Martin the wife of William I. Martin and Oscar Pollard. Signed Alfred M.
