(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

G. M. Emmerson, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with William Wright, who in life and at the time of his death was the owner of land in Section 15 & 16 all in Town 3 south, range 11 west in Gibson County, Indiana, and he positively knows that said William Wright departed this life, intestate, prior to the 20th day of February 1893, leaving him surviving as his heirs and only heirs at law, his widow Catherine Wright and his ten children namely; Mary F. Mauck, the wife of Schuyler C. Mauck, Elizabeth Smith, the wife of William L. Smith, Isaac E. Wright, Benjamin E. Wright, William S. Wright, Thomas W. Wright, James M. Wright, John Wright, Amos Wright, Joseph M. Wright. Affiant further says, that he was personally acquainted with the above named children of William Wright, deceased, and he knows that on the 16th day of March 1897 when they executed deeds for the purpose of portioning lands Retha (sometimes written Bertha) was wife of Benjamin E.; Martha was wife of Thomas W; Menecia was wife of James M.; Georgia was wife of John; and Lucy was wife of Joseph M. William S. Wright and Amos Wright were both unmarried at this time. Signed by G. M. Emmerson. Subscribed and sworn to before me on this 29th day of July 1924 signed Charles W.
