(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Lucius C. Embree, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Elenor Embree, David Embree and Milton P. Embree, who on the 22nd day of April 1865, joined in the execution of a deed of conveyance to Robert Archer for a parcel of real-estate lying in the NE corner of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 12 in Township 2 South of Range 11 west in Gibson County Indiana, and he positively knows that at the time of executing said deed of conveyance the said Elenor Embree was a widow and the said David Embree and Milton P. Embree were each of them single and unmarried.  Signed Lucius C. Embree. Subscribed and sworn to before me on this 17th day of March, 1926 signed Charles W. Benton, Notary Public
