(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

James Watt, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Theopholis Wright, D.G. Powell and Archer and Crow, to whom on the 11th day of Jan., 1882, the Sheriff of Gibson County, Indiana conveyed that part of lot # 124 in the Original Plan of the Town of Princeton, in Gibson County, Indiana...and he positively knows that the said D. G. Powell mentioned in said deed was one and the same person as Doctor G. Powell, who on the 10th day of Feb. 1888 joined with, others in the conveyance of real estate to Alice J. E. Wilson, and that Archer and Crow was a firm doing business under that name and composed of two persons namely; David Archer and Anderson D. Crow, and that the said David Archer departed this life in the latter part of 1883 leaving him surviving as his heirs and only heirs at law, his widow Martha Archer, his children, Beza Archer and Elizabeth Archer.
