(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

The subscriber hereto being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Rebecca Pumphrey who on the 24th day of January 1887, executed a deed of conveyance to James Pumphrey and Charles Pumphrey, and he knows that at the time of executing said deed of conveyance the said Rebecca Pumphrey was an unmarried woman. Affiant further says, that he was personally acquainted with Carrie Pumphrey who on the 2nd day of October 1889, executed a deed of conveyance to James Pumphrey and Charles Pumphrey, and he knows that at the time of executing said deed of conveyance the said Carrie Pumphrey was an unmarried woman. Affiant further says, that he was personally acquainted with Thomas W. Wright and he positively knows that said Thomas W. Wright departed this life, intestate, on or about the 12th day of October, 1922, leaving him surviving as his heirs and only heirs at law, his widow Martha J. Wright and only child Loren Wright.
