(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

William Steelman, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Andrew W. Cunningham who in life and at the time of his death was the owner of the north 46 acres of Militia Donation #30, and 53 acres in north part of Militia Donation #35, (and other lands) in Town 1 North, Range 10 west, in Gibson County, and he knows that said Andrew W. Cunningham departed this life, in testate, about the month Dec., 1884 or Jan. 1885 leaving him surviving his only heirs at law, his widow Catharine H Cunningham, and his 5 children, namely, Della Cunningham, Minnie Cunningham, Platt Cunningham, Modie Cunningham and Edna Cunningham. Affiant further says that in the year 1886, the said Catharine H. Cunningham intermarried with one John Fox, and that said John Fox a few years thereafter departed this life. Signed William Steelman.
