(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Walter Pauley, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Anna Farris, Sallie L. Farris, Rebecca A. Farris and William Farris, to whom on the 30th day of March 1891, Benjamin K. Ashcraft and wife conveyed 130 acres in Gibson County, Indiana, and he positively knows that the said Anna Farris departed this life, in testate, on or about the first of June 1899 leaving her surviving no husband but leaving her surviving as her only heirs at law her three children namely Sallie L. Farris, Rebecca A. Farris and William Farris. Affiant further says, that the said Sallie L. Farris departed this life, in testate, on or about the 7th day of April 1915 and without issue of her body she having never been married, leaving her surviving as her only heirs at law her sister Rebecca A. Farris and her brother William Farris. Affiant further says, that the said Rebecca A Farris departed this life, in testate, on or about the 25th day of February1917, without issue of her body she having never been married, leaving her surviving as her only heir at law her brother William Farris.
