June 1928 – Dr. Albert R Burton 69, for 48 years a physician and surgeon in Princeton died of complications at his 403 North Race Street residence.  Surviving are his wife Margaret Fentriss Burton; a daughter Mrs. Blanche B. Redman; one grandchild Martha Redman; two nieces Mrs. David Corn of Petersburg and Mrs. Wayne Cockrell of Tulsa, Okla.

 

Dr. Burton was born in Gibson county April 26, 1859, the son of Basil and Lucinda Burton.  He attended school in the county and graduated from Ohio Medical College Cincinnati in 1880.  He was a member of the first Presbyterian church of this city and was active in several fraternities and lodges.  The interment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
