Larry P. Bethe, fondly known as “Nuts”, passed away Sunday, December 9th at his home in Spurgeon, IN. Larry was born June 28,1942 in Haubstadt, IN to the late Herbert, Sr. and Margaret (Singer) Bethe.

Larry went to Sts. Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1960. He served in the U. S. Airforce for 4 years. He worked for Lutz Brother’s, Busler’s and G.F.I. (formerly Commercial Parts and Service). Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, shooting, and cooking.

He is survived by his children, Angela (Kevin) Sparks of Fort Branch and Richard (Tina) Bethe of Spurgeon; grandchildren, Zach (Kyle) Fuchs, Kaleb Fuchs, Kendra Fuchs, Olivia Fuchs, Nadia Fuchs; great-grandchildren Eli, Emery and Hazel. Siblings Herby Bethe, Barbara (Don) Phillips, Mary (John) Kessler, Jane (Stan-deceased) Schmidt; many nieces, nephews and a great-niece.

He was also proceeded in death by his grandparents; Bill and Clyde Bethe, John and Margaret Singer, sisters Rita Bethe and Rose Fuhs and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 15 at Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt with burial following in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt with military rites.
