Alice J. Chamberlain, age 91 passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Evansville.

She was born in Haubstadt December 14, 1926 to the late Louis and Frances (Singer) Woehler.

Alice retired as Clerk-Treasurer of the town of Haubstadt after 20 years of service.

She was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also a lifetime member of Daughters of Isabella #151 where she was a Past Regent for many years. She received the Simon Brute’ Award in 1994.

Also preceding her in death were her husband George in 1986; 2 sisters, Eva Mae Stuckey and Sister Theophane Woehler. 5 brothers: Bob, Joe, Vic, Harry and Paul Woehler.

Alice is survived by 1 daughter, Roseann (Mark) Fairchild of Sarasota, FL. 2 sons, Alan (Teresa) Chamberlain of Evansville and Tom (Miriam) Chamberlain of Travelers Rest, S. C

5 grandchildren: Zach, Luke, Sarah, Ian and Beth.

6 great-grandchildren: Taylor, Avery, Cole, Rhys, Violet and Connor.

Several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 22, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 AM to 1 PM Monday at the church with a Rosary service beginning at 9:30 AM.
