Lois B. Whitten, 89, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at The Waters of Princeton.
She was born August 22, 1929 in Princeton to Glendon Ray and Beatrice (Robling) Young.
She was a Pastors wife and went with her husband, the late Rev. John E. Whitten to many different church functions. She was a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton. She has been a nurse’s aide at Wabash General Hospital and then worked for Hansen’s manufacturing for a few years. Lois enjoyed watching birds.
She is survived by her 3 children, John Ed Whitten (Ella Mae) of Princeton, Mike Whitten (Nancy) of Princeton and Kathy Carter of Haubstadt; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Whitten (Amanda), Matthew Whitten (Anita), John Whitten, Kevin Whitten (Brianna), Stephanie Conn (Jon) and Tiffany Adams (Brian); 12 great grandchildren; and her brother, Ronald Young of Petersburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. John E. Whitten in 1998; and 4 brothers, Bill, Byron, Claude and Gary Young.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 South Main St., Princeton, IN 47670, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Colvin Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
