William D. “Bill” Turpin, 76, of Princeton, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born July 16, 1942 in Somerset, KY to the late Jesse D. and Ella Mae (Brinson) Turpin.
He retired after a career with the railroad. He was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton.
Bill is survived by his 4 children, Paul “P. J.” Turpin (Karin) of Battleground, WA, Jennifer “Jeni” Firkins (Daniel), Joella “Jodi” Craven (Patrick) and Charles Brown “Chuck” Turpin (Stephanie) all of Princeton; 8 grandchildren, Haylee, Logan, Allison, Evan, Nathan, Zachary, Dillan and Emma; his former spouse and mother of his children, Connie Turpin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Jesse Turpin and Tipton Turpin; and a sister, Cathy Crew.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Hillside United Methodist Church, 828 W. Archer Road in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Curtis Bond. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. Saturday at Hillside United Methodist Church. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has the honor of being entrusted with the arrangements.
