Geneva Julia Patton, 98, of Poseyville, went to be with the Lord September 20, 2018.

She was born October 5, 1919 in Warrick County, IN to the late Henry Hill and Lorene Bedena (Dennis) Hill.

Geneva was a graduate of Boonville High School. She found joy in crocheting, planting flowers from seeds that she had gathered from fall, and spending time with her family and friends. Geneva was the owner and operator of Pat’s Market for 60 + years. Geneva was a true servant to the Lord and to all that knew her. She loved to help others and would do anything for you. 

She is survived by her brother Donnie (Stephanie) Hill; sister in-law Viola Hill; daughter in-law Judith Patton; grandchildren Julia (Ralph) Templeton, Jeff Gates, Wayne (Linda) Gates, Steven (Melody) Patton, Stewart Patton, Larry Gates, and Alice Like; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. 
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lorena Hill; husband Earl Patton; brother David Hill, Wally Hill; children Gerald Gates, Robert Gates, and Douglas Patton; and great grand son Jason Gates. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to the many good friends, caregivers, and loved ones that helped care for and came to visit Geneva. 

Holder’s Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Patton. Visitation will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at Holder’s Funeral Home from 10a.m.- 1p.m. Funeral will be Monday at 1p.m. with Chris Templeton officiating. Interment will be held at Stewartsville Cemetery.
