Carl Tom Smith, 96, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Transcendent Healthcare in Owensville.
He was born on May 26, 1922 in Princeton, IN to Carl and Mary (Finney) Smith.
He served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a machinist apprentice at Southern Railroad then at Potter & Brumfield/AMF/Siemens as Plant General Foreman. He was a member of the Elks and the VFW. He also was a member of the Valley Management Club in Bruceville, IN. He was a member of the Tower Heights Church of God in Princeton.
He is survived by his son, Mark Smith (Sue); grandchildren, Jennifer Myers (Brandon), David Smith (Celia), Thad Smith (Bryna) and Matthew Smith; great grandchildren, Bryden, Colby and Owen Smith; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Max Smith; brothers, Harold, Bob, Don and Bill Smith; and a sister, Zelda Maxine Barrett.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home. Military graveside services by Retired Military Veterans.
