Jerry Wayne Newkirk 73 of Winslow, IN entered rest on Thursday July 26, 2018 in
Eastgate Manor in Washington, IN

He was born on Dec. 12, 1944 in Oakland City to Ralph and Edna (Winniger) Newkirk,

He graduated from Charlottesville High School.Jerry served in United States Army during Vietnam and was very proud of fact he was a paratrooper with the 173th Airborne Brigade. Jerry was a Deputy Sheriff in Hancock County Indiana for 13 year and did missionary work for 10 years in Mexico, South America, Canada and several States.  His great passion was being an Evangelist Minster.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Catt and son Jeremy A. Newkirk in March 5, 2017.

He is survived by his beloved wife of years 30 years, Binnie Newkirk of Winslow, Children Becky Newkirk of Fortville, IN, Deborah (Jim) Heede of Carmel, IN, Margie Brinson of Rockville, TN, Hugh (Becki) Brinson of French Lick, IN, Shelly Newkirk of Ingalls, IN and Daughter-in-law Jessica Newkirk of
Winslow, IN. Brothers Ralph Newkirk of Knightstown, IN and Kenny Newkirk of Indianapolis, IN.
(11) Grand Children and (3) Great Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews.


Service will be held 1:00 P.M. CST on Monday July 30,2018 at the Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel 
with burial in Williams Cemetery. Rev. Larry Stoops will be officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 4:00-7:00 PM CST at the chapel.
