Kenneth J. Martin, 89, of Oakland City, IN, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN on July 18, 2018.
He was born to the late Bernard and Mildred (Hass) Martin in Evansville, IN on June 8, 1929.
Kenny was a commercial laborer and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN, Haubstadt Knights of Columbus, Haubstadt Knights of St. John, National Rifle Association, International Brotherhood of Laborers and former member of the Pike County Bird Hunters.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary (Goedde) Martin, of Oakland City, IN, 6 children; Kathy Collins of Newburgh, IN, Esther (Paul) Houchins of Evansville, IN, Bob (Alana) Martin of Oakland City, IN, Carolyn (Steve) Gilles of Elberfeld, IN, Patricia (Nathan) Coleman of Greenville, IN, and Paul (Michelle) Martin of Oakland City, IN, a brother; Don Martin of Washington, IN, a sister; Marilyn Lamb of Evansville, IN, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN with Father Brian Emmick as celebrant. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN. Rosary services will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery.
