Edward A. Jacobs 75 of Princeton passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.
He was born December 28, 1942 in Shelbyville, Texas to Ollie and Zonie Belle (Holiday) Jacobs.
He had lived in Princeton since 1975, having lived in various places throughout the country with his work. Edward was a retired boilermaker construction worker.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, and NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon before he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton and Boilermakers Local #374 in Hammond.
He is survived by his children, Mark Fleming (Cathy) of Patoka, Kenneth Jacobs of Princeton, and Sandy Patton of Birmingham AL; 9 grandchildren, Blake and Nick Fleming, Shari Goodson, Aaron Jacobs, Jacob Kissinger, Aaron and Emily Shultz, Miranda Davidson and Colton Patton; 11 great grandchildren, Levi and Liam Fleming, Landon Beadles, Keydren Jacobs, Rex Goodson, Emmitt Kissinger, Alysa and Avery Davidson, Parker Jacobs, Dutch Goodson and Liam Hopkins.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary “Sissy” Jacobs, January 1, 2016; a son, Jack Fleming; a daughter, Patricia Shultz; a granddaughter, Heather Kissinger; 3 great grandchildren, Layne and Layton Fleming and Ava Davidson .
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Jim Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
