Grant
Walden Jr. 81, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
Grant
was born on October 13, 1936 in Gibson County, IN to Ulysses Walden Sr. and
Mildred (Russell) Walden and lived in Gibson County all his life.
He
was a self-employed farmer and NGSC bus driver for 45 years. He loved driving
his bus and farming. He attended Wayman Chapel Church in his early years and
later attended Broadway Christian Church. Grant was an all-around happy, kind
hearted man that never met a stranger. He showed love and respect for every
person that came into his life. Grant’s passion for farming, machinery, travel
and his family was often his favorite topics for discussion. Grant will be
greatly missed by his family and friends, but his passion for a fun-loving life
will live forever through each and every person that he touched during his time
here on earth.
He
is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sallee Walden;
son, Stephen Walden (Tina); daughters, Lisa Bartell (Mark) and Kara Wonnell (Charlie); 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren;
sister, Lila Shomate; brothers, Billy and Paul Walden; and numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; and step brothers and step sisters.
Funeral
service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home
in Princeton, officiated by Rev. John Dunn. Burial will follow at Sand Hill
Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Colvin
Funeral Home.
