Michael L.
Neuman, 57, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018.
AUGUST 23, 1960 ~ JUNE 24, 2018
Michael
graduated Southridge High School in 1977 and went on to attend Indiana
University. Michael was a financial advisor with Edward Jones for almost 19
years. He really loved working with all of his clients to help them achieve their
financial goals. He loved music of all kinds. His favorite thing to do was give
CD’s to his friends when he discovered something new. This brought him great
joy. You could say he was a music aficionado.
He served as
Chairman of the Board of the Gibson County Economic Development Corporation.
Michael achieved the level of Eagle Scout and lived by the pledge every day.
Michael was a musician. He taught himself guitar when he was younger and went
on to teach lessons in his teen years. He also played tenor saxophone in
marching band and was in the choir in high school.
To say he
loved all of the arts was an understatement. He and his wife loved to tour
museums and see live music and dance shows.
Michael also
learned how to build guitars in Salt Lake City, UT in an apprenticeship at the
Violin Making School of America. His passion showed in his extensive music and
guitar collections.
He led an
adventurous life. He loved motorcycles and rode his bike all over the country.
He loved all
animals and especially cats. He was such a lover of life and embraced every
moment of every day. He was a ray of light to every room he walked into.
Michael
never met a stranger and was always the first to lend a helping hand if needed.
He will be missed by all of his family and many friends.
He is
survived by his wife, Melissa M. (Will) Neuman of Princeton, to whom he was
married on June 29, 2012 in Henderson, KY and parents, Charlie and Jane Ellen
Neuman of Princeton and aunts and cousins.
There will
be a Gathering and Celebration of Michael’s Life from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday,
June 28, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
