Helen
Marie Odom, 79, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away peacefully at her residence
with her family by her side.
She
was born on May 10, 1939 in Princeton, IN to the late Francis E. and Helen
(Weber) Hoefling.
Helen
Marie was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN.
She volunteered for the Gibson General Hospital Pink Ladies for several
years. She enjoyed line dancing and would take her daughter on many
occasions. She enjoyed playing cards and Family bonding.
Besides
her parents, Helen Marie was also preceded in death by her 1st husband Paul
Andy Odom, her sons, Paul Edward Odom and Padraic A,
Odom, a daughter, Patience R. Diephuis, two sisters,
Mary Ann Graper, and Carolyn S. Salmon, and a brother, Joseph G. Hoefling.
She
is survived by a son Patrick (Suzanne) Odom of Fort Branch, IN, a sister
Rose E. (Kim) Gerth of Evansville, IN, and her
companion, Norman Shockley of Fort Branch, IN. She is also survived by 7
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren..
A
Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 11:00
AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, with Fathers Tony
Ernst and Ambrose Wonyani the co-celebrants.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday,
May 23, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 at the church.
The
family would like to give a special thank you to the Heart to Heart
Hospice for the special care given to Helen Marie.
