Elza Henson Jr. 83 of Petersburg, IN entered rest
on Friday May 18, 2018 at
Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN with his family by his side.
He was born on August
10,1934 in Pike County to Elza D. Sr. and Ruth
(Doughty) Henson.
He was preceded in death by
his parents and great granddaughter Evelyne Henson.
Elza had worked at Chrysler Corporation in
Evansville and in St. Louis, MO for 9 years. He took a position at
Western-Southern Life Insurance Company which he retired after 30 years. After retirement he worked land acquisition
on several coal, gas and oil projects. He
loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Glezen Revival Center.
Survivors are wife of 64
years Carolyn (Preston) Henson whom he married on November
7, 1953, sons Terry (Jackie) Henson of Winslow, IN, David Henson and daughter
Kim (Randy) Warnsman of Petersburg, IN. Grandchildren
Mendy (Jeff) Nelson of Otwell, IN, Jake (Abby) Warnsman of Montgomery, IN and Jackson (Erika) Henson of
Petersburg, IN. Great grandchildren Nolan and Sam Nelson of Otwell,
IN, Daisy and Belle Warnsman of Montgomery, IN, Evangelyne Henson of Petersburg, IN. And a Sister Faye
Willis of Petersburg, IN.
Services will be at 11:00
A.M. EST Thursday May 24,2018 Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in
Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Winslow. Rev. Joe Henson and Rev. Eddie Willis
will be officiating, Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. EST Wednesday at
Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel and from 9:00 A.M. until services Thursday at the
chapel.
