Carol
G. Heldt, 89, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away
peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, May 25, 2018, at River Oaks
Health Campus in Princeton, IN.
He
was born to the late Willis and Ruth (Hosler) Heldt on Jan. 24, 1929 in Elberfeld, IN.
Carol
was retired from Alcoa in Warrick Co. after 25 years of
service. He was a member of the Enon General Baptist Church in
Princeton, IN. Carol loved the church and teaching Bible lessons at
the church. He was an active church deacon for over 50
years. Carol loved to fish, camp, work in the garden and ride
horses, but most of all he loved Christ and his family.
Besides
his parents Carol was also preceded in death by his first wife, Eloise Heldt, his second wife, Gyneth Heldt, a grand child, Aaron
Blaine, a great grand child, Brea Loyd,
four brothers, Willis, Marvin, Loren, Larry Heldt,
and a sister Emma Loehr.
He
is survived by his 5 children, Carol Ann (Mike) Blaine of Fort Branch, IN,
Jerry Keith (Shannon) Heldt of Petersburg, IN, Mark
(Debbie) Heldt of Haubstadt, IN, Glen (Paula) Heldt of Fort Branch, and Pastor Tammy (Doug) Scheller of Fort Branch, IN, 2 step children, Barbara
(Steve) Seitz of Jasper, IN, Larry (Gretchen) Byers of Evansville,
IN. Carol is also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Betty Rice
of Terre Haute, IN, Ruth Rehlander of Marana, AZ,
Jane Williams of Fort Branch, IN, Dale Heldt of
Francisco, IN, and Lonny Heldt of Fort Branch,
IN. Carol claimed 20 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren, 4
step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.
Service
for Carol will be on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the Enon General Baptist Church in Princeton, IN. Burial in
Northview Cemetery in Elberfeld. Visitation will be on
Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the
Stodghill Funeral Home located in Fort Branch, IN.
