Wilma
Louise Hathaway, 91, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at
Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.
She
was born September 14, 1926 in Gibson County, IN to Edward and Emma (Roberts)
Sanders.
She
was a Rosie the Riveter during the war, working at the airplane factory in
Evansville. She also worked at the Holiday Manor Nursing Home for a few years.
Wilma was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and the American
Legion Auxiliary.
She
is survived by her son, Ed Hathaway of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; 16 great
grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruby Walburn of Princeton and Frances Parker of Patoka; many
nieces and nephews; and countless more who called her grandma.
She
is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Hathaway Jr; son, Mike
Hathaway; daughter, Connie Cross; and 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral
service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton, IN, officiated by Rev. Ralph Clark. Burial will follow in the
Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to
1 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
