Donald
Ray (Louie) Georges, 83, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Gibson General
Hospital in Princeton, IN on May 29, 2018.
He
was born to the late Densil and Margaret (McClary) Georges on December 11, 1934
in Gibson County, IN.
Louie
was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN as well as the
Knights of Columbus of Haubstadt, IN, American Legion post #194 in Haubstadt,
IN, VFW post #2714 in Fort Branch,IN, and the
Journeymen of Holy Cross in Fort Branch, IN. He was also a Navy veteran having
served in the Korean War.
Besides his
parents, Louie is preceded in death by 3 children; Tiara Louise Georges in
1968, Dorothy Jane Holland in 2012, and Todd Joseph Georges in 2016 and one
sister; Glenda J. Sprinkle in 2005.
He
is survived by his loving wife Ann (Reinhart) Georges of Fort Branch, IN, 4
children; Deborah Tyring of Haubstadt, IN, Sue (Bob)
Harrell of Fort Branch, IN, Pat (Scott) Ping of Owensville, IN, and Donald Ray
Georges, Jr. of the Marshall Islands, 2 siblings; Larry (Jackie Fulton) Georges
of Fort Branch, IN and Kay Wassmer of Fort Branch,
IN, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy
Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN with Father Tony Ernst and Father
Ambrose Wonyanyi as co-celebrants. Burial will be at
Holy Cross Cemetery following Military Honors services. There will
be no visitation on Monday prior to mass. Visitation will be on Sunday, June
3,2018 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN
from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m.
