Carl
Albert Forney, 75, of Princeton, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at River Oaks
Health Campus in Princeton.
He
was born on November 3, 1942 in Dixon, IL.
He
lived in Princeton since 1988. Carl was an electric and mechanical engineer and
also worked in the trucking industry for 18 years. He served in the US Navy
from 1964-1968 and then served in the reserves for 3 more years. He sang in the
Navy Blue Jacket Choir. He was a member, Deacon and choir member at the First
Presbyterian Church in Princeton. He belonged to the O.O.I.D.A. (Owner Operator
of Independent Trucker Assoc) and the Associate
Certified Electronics Tech.
He
is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Karen Forney of Princeton; children,
Marie Forney of Asheville, NC and Michelle Tooke of Indianapolis, IN; 3
grandchildren, Lucas, Kennedy and McKinnley; brother,
Raymond Forney (Jan) of Forreston, IL; and sister,
Joanne Abels (Gary) of Forreston,
IL.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; Albert Forney and Juanita (Jacques)
Forney Lauts.
Funeral
service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at First Presbyterian
Church in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Vanlal Hruaia. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church
Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton. Military graveside service by Retired Military
Veterans.
