Arthur
Carroll Culver, 90, of Winslow, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home
in Winslow, IN.
He
was born April 7, 1928 in Oatsville, IN to Arthur and
Irene (Helsley) Culver.
He
was a US Army veteran. He retired from Pike Central High School in 1990. He was
a life member of the VFW #3587 in Petersburg, where he served as Commander 2
consecutive terms. He was on the Winslow Fire Dept. for several years and
served as the Fire Chief for several years.
He
is survived by his wife, Vada Culver of Winslow; 4 daughters, Cathy Small of
Winslow, Marquette Cook (Darrell) of Winslow, Mary Bartley (Roger) of Savannah,
GA and Carol Duzan (Dean) of Marshall, IL; 9
grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Culver; and son-in-law,
James Robert Small.
Funeral
service will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Corn-Colvin
Funeral Home in Oakland City, officiated by Pastor Henry Nelson. Burial will follow
at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m.
(EDT) Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home. Military graveside service by
Petersburg American Legion.
