Charles Leslie “Les” Satterfield 70 of Oakland City entered rest on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at his home.

He was born on June 3, 1947 in Illinois 

Les was preceded in death by his father Charles Satterfield 2015, mother Ruth Drake Satterfield, step mother Billie Jo Myers Satterfield 2016, step brothers Doug Myers 2015 and Terry Myers 2008.

Les was a member of Oakland City Eagles and Oakland City American Legion Post #256. Les graduated from Wabash Valley College with an AS degree in telecommunications. He was a truck driver for Roark Trucking for several years. Les Served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by children Charles Graham Satterfield of Knob Noster, MO and Lillian E. Satterfield of Warrensburg, MO. Sisters Etta Mae Calhoun-Helgeson of Kankakee, IL, Karen Moody of Mt. Zion, IL and Brenda Akers of New Castle, IN. Step brothers Roger Myers of Oakland City, IN, Ron Myers of Winslow, IN and Darrin Myers of Atlanta Ga., Step sister Lana Myers of Oakland City, IN, step daughter Chastity Brewster and 3 step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be 7:00 P.M. Friday April 18,2018 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel With Rev. Darrin D. Nosset will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at the chapel.
