Mary Jane “Janie” (Seib) Lamey, 61, of Haubstadt, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018
at her home surrounded by family.
Janie was a loving wife, mother and grandma. She loved to sew and listen to
music, was a great cook and had a contagious laugh. She had worked as the
kitchen manager for the South Gibson School Corporation at Haubstadt Community
School and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul
Catholic Church in Haubstadt.
Surviving Janie are her husband of 28 years, Terry Lamey;
daughters, Lori Weintraut, Abby (Brad) Schmitt and
Julie (Clint) Fuhs; sons, Aaron (Stephanie) Spindler
and Matthew (Katie) Lamey; her father, Joseph Seib; sisters, Ruth Schneider, JoAnn (Terry) Maurer, Bernie
(George) Caucci and Nora (Steve) Elpers;
brothers, Gene (Pat) Seib, George (Jeannie) Seib and Paul (Mary Jo) Seib;
grandchildren, Lilly, Landon, Lawson and Lincoln Schmitt, Luke Weintraut, Emma, Nolan and Tyler Fuhs
and Blake, Justin and Nathan Spindler and fifteen nieces and nephews.
Janie was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert Spindler, by her
mother, Margaret “Margie” (Bittner) Seib; by
brothers, Raymond and Robert Seib and by a
brother-in-law, John Schneider.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April
12, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Tony Ernst and Rev. Kenneth Betz
officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at St.
James School in Madden Hall and from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Thursday
at St. James Catholic Church.
