Melvin A. Greulich, 93 of Fort Branch, IN. passed away on Wednesday,
April 11, 2018 at Braun’s Nursing Home surrounded by family. Born August 7, 1924.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during WW II in the Pacific Theater and the
Korean War. He was a Charter member of VFW Post #2714 and a member of American
Legion Post #194.
He participated in the first Honor Flight from Evansville in 2014. He was active in Boy Scouts, Holy Cross
Parish & retired from Emge Packing Co. in
1986.
Following retirement, he and his wife Ann were well known in the area for
their cookie & chocolate making activities.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann (Luebbehusen)
in 2014, his parents, Leo and Christine (Ackerman) Greulich,
4 brothers; Alois, Leo Frank, Cyril and Elmer Greulich
and 1 sister, Reinilta Remke.
He is survived by Son, Michael (Mary) Daughters: Judy Greulich,
Karen (Henry) Kreyling, and Jane Heldt.
Six Grandchildren ; Tara (Matt) Raven, Jeff (Sarah) Greulich,
Chris (Alicia) Sollman, Heather (Scot) Hall, Andy Kreyling, Janice (Eric) Lamb. Five Great Grandchildren:
Kyler, Kaden,and Kelby Sollman
and Melanie and Tanner Wick.
The Family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Bell Oaks Place,
Braun’s Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice (especially LaDonna,
Shana, Randy, Megan, Ann, Darcey & Missy).
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:00 PM Friday, April 13 at Holy Cross
Catholic Church in Fort Branch with burial following in the church cemetery
with military rites. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday, April
13 at the church with a Rosary service also beginning at 10:00 AM.
