Mary
Lee Day, 91, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at River Oaks
Health Campus in Princeton.
She
was born June 13, 1926 in Allendale, IL to Thurman and Grace (Dardeen) Dicus.
She
retired after 20+ years from Potter & Brumfield. She attended Hillside
United Methodist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed planting and caring for her
flowers. She loved animals and taking care of grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
She
is survived by 3 children, David Day, Karen Whitten, and Diana Michas (Chip) all of Princeton; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca
Willis (George), Kimberly Vassilakis, Amanda Miskell (Scott), Matthew Meadows (Dava),
Shirley Standishday (Kevin) and Hannah Thompson
(Travis); 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Fern
Couch of Lawrenceville, IL, Jean Crouch of Mt. Carmel, IL and Barbara Hatfield
of Florida; and her brother, Bob Dicus of Mt. Carmel,
IL.
She
is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle Day in 2007; brothers,
Willard, Jerry and Billy Dicus; sisters, Maxine
Blair, Juanita Terrel, Bonnie Simonds and Virginia Dicus; and a son-in-law, Greg Whitten.
Funeral
service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton, IN, officiated by Susan Carey. Burial will follow in the Columbia
White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on
Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
