Bryan York of Evansville, IN died on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in the ICU at Deaconess Hospital.

He was on his way to work when his moped ran into a deer in what was a fatal accident. He is survived by his wife Mary, three children; Tonya, Ryan, and Corey; two stepchildren Casey and Sean; and four grandchildren.

Other surviving family members include his father David York of Haubstadt; brother and sister-in-law Larry and Kristy York of Owensville, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. His mother, Shirley (Brown) York, passed away in July of 2013. His grandparents, Mary and Lester Brown and Elbert and Grace York, are also deceased.

Bryan was 52 years old. He was born in Dubois County on March 4, 1966.

He attended Gibson Southern High School and graduated in 1984. He spent most of his 25 working years in the food service industry. Hunting, fishing, and watching football were his leisure pursuits. He was a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan.

Bryan rests at the Holder Funeral Home in Owensville, Indiana. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at the Holders Funeral Home, 319 S. Main St. Owensville, IN on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10am to 1pm with service at 1. Reverend Anthony Ennult will speak briefly at the service. Friends and relatives are invited to speak after Reverend Ennult’s remarks.

The family also wishes to acknowledge the loving outpour of sympathy from his McDonald’s family.
