Ruby
Fern Wolfe, 97, passed away at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Care,
March 28th at 11:00 p.m.
Ruby
was born June 24th 1920 in Gibson County to Floyd and Lucinda (Mason) Lynch.
She
was united in marriage to Ross Wolfe on September 26, 1940. He passed away
February 15, 1968.
Ruby
was a very loving Mother and Grandmother, and enjoyed having her family getting
together. Loved working in her yard, flower beds, and vegetable garden. She
always started her day by reading her Bible, devotions, and praying. She was a
member of Union Community Church, and really enjoyed her Church family. At the
age of 82 she broke her hip and has lived at Skilled Nursing Care for over 15
years. She enjoyed all the activities, especially Bingo, special music, and
Church services. In all these years she made many friends and loved the staff
and workers at Skilled Nursing Care.
Survived
by three sons, Jim Wolfe (Carolyn) of Princeton, Ron Wolfe of Owensville, Jerry
Wolfe (Effie) of Hazleton; daughter, Judith Tharp of St. Elmo, IL; 14
grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ross; Infant son, Larry Joe
Wolfe; grandson, Infant James Dean Tharp; grandson, Devin Lee Tharp; great
grandsons, Andrew Tharp and Nolan Karmer; great
granddaughter, Sarah Kulesza; brothers, Ivan Lynch
and Orville Lynch; sisters, Florence Conner and Mary Rigg;
son-in-law, Dean Tharp and daughter-in-law, Sharon Wolfe.
Funeral
service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton. Visitation will
be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
