Arthur P. Strickland Jr., 72, of Evansville, passed away unexpectedly March 14, 2018 at his home.

He was born October 17, 1945 in Princeton, IN to the late Arthur P. Strickland Sr. and Wilma Jean (Kramer) Strickland.

Arthur is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart, Sharpshooter with M-14 and M-16, National defense service medal, Vietnam campaign medal, Expert with M-60, Vietnam service medal, and Combat badge.

He retired from Farmboy, where he worked as a meat cutter for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his siblings, Sherry Malone, Timothy Strickland and Tracy Strickland; children, Amye Strickland, Heath Strickland, and Ansyn Strickland; 7 grandchildren; and special friend Beverly Campbell.


Graveside services with full military honors will be held Noon on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville, officiated by Randall Duncan.
