Frank E. Conner 78,
of Hazleton passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospital
in Vincennes.
He was born in
Effingham County, IL July 8, 1939 to Louis “Bud” and Jessie Mae (Baker)
Conner.
Frank was a heavy
equipment and backhoe operator for Koberstein
Trucking in Princeton. He retired in 2004 after working there for 32
years. He had lived in Gibson County for the past 40 years moving here
from Illinois. He was a member of the Patoka United Methodist Church and
he enjoyed gardening.
Frank is survived by
his wife, Flora “Flo” Conner of Hazleton; son, Ron Conner of Mt. Carmel; 6
grandchildren, Melissa, Tiffaney, Brandon, Brittany, Matt and A.J.; 7
great-grandchildren with one expected to arrive in June; 2 brothers, Dale Conner
(Cindy) of Altamont, IL and Larry Conner (Kathy) of Effingham, IL.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Goldman; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services
will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton,
with Pastor Marsha Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia
“White” Church Cemetery. Visitation will from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.
