Thelma R. Drew Georges May, of Oakland City passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Parkview Care Center in Evansville.
She was born in Petersburg IN, July 1, 1935 to William and Margrette (Riddle) Mallory.
Thelma had worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for 40 years last working for the former Wirth Hospital in Oakland City. She had spent most of her life in Oakland City also living in Petersburg and Somerville. She loved the thrill of winning, playing bingo and other games of chance. She enjoyed traveling, always ready to go.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Janet (Drew) Enlow of Oakland City; 2 sisters, Maxine Swain of Petersburg, Linda Schmidt of Evansville; brother, Jerry Mallory of Somerville; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles Drew Sr., Audrey Georges and Larry May; son, Charles Drew Jr.; daughter, Cheryl McDowell; and 7 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Rev. Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
