Bob Bruce, 82 of Patoka passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born August 25, 1935 in Haubstadt, IN to Kenneth M. and Lucille O. (Porter) Bruce.
Bob was a retired aircraft mechanic for Delta and Boeing where he worked for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He had lived in Patoka since 1995. He attended the First Baptist Church in Princeton and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Corellen of Patoka; 2 sons, Robert W. Bruce (Caryn) of Carollton, TX and Edward “Eddie” Ray Bruce of Frisco, TX; 2 step-children, Mark Myrick (Kay) of Evansville and Kristela “Kris” Prunty of Patoka; sister, Mary Ellen Mason of Bell, FL; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Mahoney (David), Daniel Bruce (Yvette), Aaron Bruce (Liz), Bethany Bruce, David Bruce, Emily Valdez (Johnathan), Jennifer Oberst (Mike), Jill Scheirer (Tim), Emily Myrick and Jordyn Prunty; 3 great grandchildren, Samuel Mark Oberst, Cloe Marie Oberst and Peter Bruce.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenny Bruce.
Private graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka on May 19, 2018, followed by a Memorial Service at 3 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, 800 West Faith Blvd., Princeton, IN 47670. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
